Welcome
The European Association for Cancer Education will hold its 35th annual meeting in the city of Birmingham, United Kingdom. Birmingham is a major city in England’s West Midlands region, with multiple Industrial Revolution-era landmarks that illustrate its 18th-century manufacturing history. It was the home of the scientists and inventors Matthew Boulton, James Watt and William Murdoch, all of whom helped Birmingham to become one of the leading manufacturing towns in the world. It has a network of canals, many of which radiate out from Sherborne Wharf and are now lined with cafes and bars. In the city centre, the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is known for pre-Raphaelite masterpieces.
Birmingham City University
The meeting will address the theme ‘Sharing Knowledge and Practice for a bold new world’ and will be hosted by Birmingham City University at the campus based at Westbourne Road. This is next to the Botanical gardens and is easy to reach from the City Centre. There are a range of hotels within walking distance of BCU.

Scientific Programme
The scientific programme consists of invited presentations, workshops and presentations from abstract submissions. The conference aims to provide an occasion to hear and exchange knowledge, state-of-the-art research, and to facilitate communication and networking between those involved in cancer education. We encourage students to present and there will be an abstract session specifically included to enable them to present their work. The conference dinner is on the Thursday evening, and a social programme will provide the opportunity to strengthen the new contacts made throughout the meeting.
